Head Circumference
Wrap the measuring tape around the fullest part of your head—just above the ears and across the middle of the forehead. Keep it level and snug, not tight.
Neck
Measure around the base of the neck where a collar would sit. Keep one finger under the tape for comfort.
Shoulder
Measure straight across the back from the tip of one shoulder bone to the tip of the other.
Front Shoulder to Waist
Start at the shoulder seam, just beside the neck. Measure down over the bust to your natural waistline.
Back Shoulder to Waist
Start at the shoulder seam at the back. Measure straight down the spine to the natural waistline.
Bust Circumference
Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your bust, keeping it level across the back.
Bust Span
Measure from the center of one nipple straight across to the center of the other nipple.
Armhole
Starting at the top of the shoulder, loop the tape under the armpit and back to the shoulder to form a circle.
Sleeve Length
Begin at the shoulder seam. Measure down along the arm to the wrist bone with the arm slightly bent.
Bicep
Measure around the fullest part of the upper arm, keeping the arm relaxed.
Wrist Circumference
Wrap the tape around the wrist bone. Keep it snug but not tight.
Back Width
Measure straight across the back from one arm crease to the other, just above the bust line.
Jacket/Duster Length
Measure from the top of the shoulder beside the neck straight down to your desired hemline.
Waist
Measure around your natural waistline—usually the smallest part of the torso. Keep the tape level and comfortable.
Hip Circumference
Wrap the tape around the fullest part of the hips and buttocks. Keep it level all around.
Crotch
Place the tape at the front waistline, pass it between the legs, and bring it up to the back waistline in one continuous loop.
Pants/ Outseam Length
Start at the waistline on the side of the body. Measure straight down to your desired pant length.
Inseam
Place the tape at the top of the inner thigh where the leg meets the body. Measure straight down to the ankle bone.
